History:
The $300 million urban village
known as Comerica Park has
raised expectations in the
city of Detroit. The ballpark
includes a carousel, ferris
wheel, and a enormous water
feature in center field that
can be choreographed to music.
A major priority when designing
this park was the fans' sight
lines. Comerica has no upper-deck
outfield seats, but this offers
a gorgeous view of a downtown
skyline. The park includes
70,000 square feet of retail
space and another 36,000 square
feet of offices.
