Qualcomm has been the home for the San Diego Padres for their entire 31 years. It was constructed in 1967 at a cost of $27 million. The Q also serves as home of the San Diego Chargers. This multi-purpose facility hosts a variety of concerts, soccer matches, and annual C.I.F. high school football championship. The Padres will be leaving the Q in 2002, when they are scheduled to move into their new stadium which was approved on November 4, 1998.
