Andre Young - NCAA Basketball Picks: Clemson Tigers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Clemson Tigers Andre Young turns into Superman when he sees the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The senior guard has made 25 of 39 3-pointers in his career against Georgia Tech, including 7 of 9 in the Tigers’ 64-62 home win on Jan. 24.

Clemson has won four straight meetings and 10 of the last 13. Tech again will be without leading scorer and rebounder Glen Rice Jr. (13.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg), who is suspended indefinitely

The Tigers have opened as 4-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.

Clemson Tigers (13-13): The Tigers shot 37.5 percent in falling 74-52 at North Carolina on Saturday, ending a string of hot-shooting performances. They mostly had their way with the Yellow Jackets in the previous meeting, until Rice Jr. got on fire late. Of course, he won’t play this time. Junior F Milton Jennings has provided a big lift since returning from his suspension. He’s scored 43 points over the last four games, making 6 of 12 3-pointers.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-17): Without Rice Jr. on Saturday at Virginia Tech, the Jackets shot a season-best 58 percent before losing 74-73 in overtime. They found their offensive rhythm by playing inside-out. F Kammeon Holsey (51 points in the last four games) was decisive in the post, and he and C Daniel Miller set up guards for 3-pointers with kick-out passes. PG Mfon Udofia has 16 assists and seven turnovers over the last four games.

NCAA Basketball Betting

1. Clemson senior G Tanner Smith (11.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 4.0 apg) is trying to become the first player in school history to average at 10 points, five rebounds and four assists per game.

2. Tech's Miller has scored in double figures in five straight games and is averaging 8.4 rebounds over that stretch. He ranks second in the ACC in blocks (2.4).

3. Tech is 40-21 all-time at home against the Tigers.

NCAA BASKETBALL PREDICTION: Tigers 63, Yellow Jackets 58.
